AIRC Team

The Applied Intelligence Research Centre has a diverse team.

Trevor is a postgraduate researcher, funded by the SFI Centre for Research Training in Machine Learning (ML-Labs). He holds a BSc in Applied Maths and Physics and an MSc in Computational Engineering from Queen’s University Belfast. From 2015-2019, Trevor worked as a Data Scientist in the Aon Centre for Innovation and Analytics in Dublin, where he developed models such as premium estimation, revenue modelling, customer churn prediction and record linkage algorithms. Trevor completed a postgraduate diploma in research at Technological University Dublin in 2020 where his research work related to a multi-institution Health Research Board project which involved applying machine learning approaches for prostate cancer grade classification (Doherty et al, 2021, under review in Analyst). In September 2020, Trevor started PhD research under the supervision of Dr. Therese Murphy and Prof. Sarah Jane Delany. Broadly, his current project aims to apply machine learning and artificial intelligence to large-scale epigenomic data. More specifically, he is investigating feature selection methods and regression algorithms for use with high dimensional DNA methylation data to identify epigenetic signatures of aging and disease.
