Dr. Bianca Schoen-Phelan is a Lecturer in the School of Computing DIT. Bianca has a BSc from the University of Applied Sciences, Darmstadt Germany, and a PhD from University College Dublin. Bianca is the chair of the Higher Diploma in Computing (DT265/8265/265A) and the FYP project coordinator for DT228 in DIT’s School of Computing. Bianca’s research interests are primarily in the areas of navigational support in VR, indexing in spatial databases, LiDAR, UAV and more recently in the application of machine learning and deep learning techniques to a variety of preferably crowd-sourced data with a spatial component.
