Dr. Giancarlo Salton is a Postdoctoral Researcher in the AIRC/School of Computing and the ADAPT. Giancarlo has a BSc in Computer Science from Universidade Comunitária da Região de Chapecó (Unochapecó) in Brazil and a PhD from the Dublin Institute of Technology (supervised by Prof. John D. Kelleher and Dr. Robert J. Ross). Giancarlo's research interest are primarily in the areas of processing figurative language, language models and machine translation. More recently, his interests also include deep learning techniques to structured data and structured predictions and artificial neural networks' architectures with augmented memory.
